Winter Outdoor Ice Skating rinks
To go ice skating in Dickens’s Day you just wrapped the kids up warmly, trotted down to the nearest pond, lake or river and off you slid or glided, on the two-inch thick ice. It was great fun and free. Although no longer as easy or free, the joy of outside skating has been rediscovered and you can practice your skills in some of the most scenic spots in our kingdom.
