Fishing paradise, lovely setting

This is a really pretty park, lots of fishing available and so you do get groups of guys here and the serious fishing fanatics. It serves families well and has good soft play and outdoor play areas - great pirate ship in the middle of the park plus other areas that are ideal for kicking a ball around or just letting the kids go mad! The food is pretty standard for this type of break, but there's a good choice and plenty of options for a takeaway. The site is well spread out and has a mix of caravans and the more luxurious log cabins are located in the more picturesque areas by the lakes - lovely. We had a good break here but you do need to be careful in the evening, there are few lights around the site and in place the road is uneven, it's easy to trip over and hurt yourself so be careful and take a torch. Otherwise, there's plenty to see and do in the area or if you want to stay on site they have a lovely pool, guy and sauna. Staff are friendly, willing to help and happy to chat. Apparently in high season it's been known for some families to have somewhat difficult kids with them who have caused trouble, but when we stayed there it was absolutely fine. Just remember to take that torch!
