John Fowler Combe Martin, Ilfracombe

We stayed in the little holiday park in Combe Martin, lovely gardens and wonderful view. It looked primising and much nicer than the caravan parks. However, the cornflower chalet was horrible, damp, smelly, dated, tasteless, car boot sale decoration, disgusting carpets, bad lighting, not a single reading lamp in sight. Generally speaking crappy and shabby. And the shower was an insult. The bar looks equally dated and dark. And there is no laundry service at all. I hope someone takes over the thing and makes something nice out of it. It was not cheap at all and no value for money either. And the free linen is also horrible. I'd rather camp any time! It gave us all a bad mood, the little pool is risble and as we actually left earlier did not bother waiting for foxy. We were only looking for a nice place to stay and rest from throwing pebbles all day. It was sub standard indeed.
