The world’s largest collection of wildfowl covering over one hundred and fifty different species can be seen at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. Gloucester is also well worth a visit with its fascinating medieval centre and its revitalised nineteenth century docks as is the elegant Regency spa town of Cheltenham. Closer to Farm Lodges is Newent with its Shambles Museum of Victorian Life, the National Birds of Prey Centre and the Three Choirs Vineyard there are also nearby facilities for golf, fishing and tennis.
