New Forest holiday fun

"Looking for somewhere to take the kids camping in the New Forest? This is an ideal spot, not far off the A31 main road, but surrounded by unspoilt countryside where ponies graze by the roadside and cyclists outnumber other road users! Take the bikes and your outdoor gear, and explore this great area, rich with actiities for kids. We stayed here in a tent on a rainy weekend in August and still loved it! The campsite caters for tents, motorhomes and caravans, but not the ones you hire. It has a fantastic playground on sand, so it's a sand pit, too. The washing facilities are clean and plentiful, with under floor heating. There's a small shop selling camping basics, food and groceries including local produce like sausages for your morning fry-up. Next door is the Redshoot Inn pub, which has regular currynights, live entertainment, Sunday lunches, cream teas, and kids can have smaller portions of anything on th menu; my son gobbled up sausages, mash and peas, while we enjoyed a local beer. The pub holds a beer festival in October, which we reckon would be worth a visit. The site is handy for attractions in the New Forest such as Beaulieu Motor Museum, and a short drve down to the coast at Milford-on-Sea."
