The pretty seaside town of Deal is well worth a visit as are the beautiful grounds and castle of Walmer. There are wonderful walks and cycle rides all over this part of the county and there is a dedicated cycle route on the beach all the way to Deal from Kingsdown village. Further afield is Canterbury with its famous Cathedral and if you fancy crossing the Channel to France jump onboard a train or a boat from either Dover or Ashford.
