Haven Cala Gran Holiday Park, Blackpool

We were all excited to be going to this Haven park as all the adverts make them seem like a great place. On arrival we got our keys which was quite quick. We went to our caravan which was quite close to the complex and were absolutely disgusted. The caravan was a mess with mold on the walls and curtains, crumbs all over the floor and the beds had massive holes in them. When we sat at the table we folded the sides down and there was food trapped in them that must have been there for a while. My husband and I wanted to go home but our 2 children were really upset at going home. We decided to complain to which we were told "tough". We cleaned the caravan ourselves and decided to stay. When we went to the arcades and pub area our feet stuck to the floor. The swimming pool was dirty around the sides and the changing areas weren't much better. We spent most of the week off the site in and around the area. My husband managed to get us a full refund on our return home but we would not go back there ever again. We stayed in the grade up from standard too.

Stayed here during september and after a quick mess up by us with the gas we were soon settled into our warm standard caravan. suprisingly well equipped in the kitchen. however the cleanliness was not up to scratch and the mouldy matress and curtains were worth complaining about. ! easy to get into blackpool bonus. the onsite slots were great for my husband and the kids loved the soft plat areas, the drinks could have been a bit cheaper mind but staff very friendly. would go again but would def upgrade the caravan!!

Dirty caravans, unfrieindly staff, rude managment, poor food, stay away a week wasted.

Haven is the best. My kids always love the holidays here - if we can afford it later this year would love to book another one....thanks for a great holiday..

I visited Cala Gran five years ago and then I thought it was the worst Haven park I had been to. this time I was very impressed at how the overall standard has greatly improved and was exceptionally good value for money. Well done to the Management team.

After reading holiday park reviews I was expecting a dirty caravan and park in genral, but i was pleasantly surprised. Our caravan at Cala Gran was clean and so were all the facilities myself and family used. I've been to many haven sites and this rates as one of the better sites. I will be booking again for summer this year at one of your parks!
