Not only are there kid’s club for children aged 3 to 18 that are free of charge, they have a whole load of extras that will keep your little ones busy from the moment they wake up. Paddling pools, an outdoor play area, a little train that takes you to the beach, a circus school, and even the resort’s very own farm are only a few of the facilities on offer at this prestigious resort. When the kid’s are off playing, parents can unwind at a nearby Thalassotherapy centre, relax by the pool, or play golf at an 18-hole course within the village grounds. ACCOMMODATION – Houses and apartments at Port Bourgenay Holiday Village are located in five different areas called Lake, Ocean, Golf, Grove and Windmill. Families can choose to stay in quiet woodland and preservations areas, in front of the port with sea views, in the golfing area overlooking the greens or in the lively centre of the village. Houses and apartments are spacious and well equipped for your family stay. FOR KIDS –The children’s clubs are open in the summer months and cater for all age groups including: Club Mini (3 to 5 years); Club Kids and Junior (6 to 12 years), Club Teens (13 to 18 years). A crèche for infants from 3 to 35 months is also available at a surcharge. Baby kits with cots and high chairs can be pre-booked for a small supplement. (Suitable for children from 0 to 2 years)
An authentic French holiday, even though it's a resort

We stayed at Port Bourgenay at the end of August and early September, apparently this timing was perfect because Port Bourgenay is popular and gets very busy during the French school holidays. We stayed in a house overlooking three outdoor pools, they were unheated but were warm enough to swim in by each afternoon. Our accommodation was well maintained and clean, although the kitchenette could have been bigger and there wasn't a washing machine. With three small children this meant a few visits to the launderette although a number of the machines were out of order. The window in the boys' bedroom wasn't childfriendly, we found one of them on the windowsill of the open window at 7am on the first day. After that heart stopping moment we secured it with some string, we couldn't find anyone interested in helping us secure it with a childlock. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay. The resort is large and spread out with an attractive village square as its centre. There are lots of places to eat and everything has an authentic French feel even though it's within a resort. We hired bikes and did lots of cycling around the resort, we also visited another set of outdoor pools which have slides and pool perfect for toddlers. There's a children's farm and play area and lots of activities to do including a circus school. We walked to the port and there's a beautiful beach a short car drive or cycle away, we didn'y make it there because the children were happy in the resort. Very childfriendly (apart from the window moment!) and I can recommend a holiday here.
