There’s lots to do in each resort. All of them have at least one swimming pool area. In the more northern resorts some of the swimming area is indoors. There are lots of sports facilities such as tennis courts, basketball pitches, archery, golf courses, lakes for watersports and so on. These vary by resort so if there’s a particular activity you like to do then check the resort information for more details. Many of the resorts have a children’s farm where young children can pet and feed the animals. There are also playground areas too. There are lots of activities and excursions offsite and many of these are bookable at Reception.
Bike hire is available in each resort and is often the best way to get around. The length of hire can be between half a day up to the duration of your visit. Trailers, baby seats and towalongs are available. As are stabilisers and helmets. You’ll be given a lock for your bike and there are lots of bike parking areas by the accommodation. Resorts near a beach often have a tourist road train which can take you there. You can take pushchairs on it too.  Each resort has shops and places to eat. They’re owned and run independently of Pierre & Vacances. You can buy food and supplies from the Mini Markets but if you really need to stock up it may be more cost-effective to visit a nearby supermarket. Although you’re in a holiday resort many of the shops, restaurants and cafes will observe national opening hours so remember places may be closed during the afternoon. If you need any assistance you can ask at the Reception, remember this too has certain opening hours. You’ll be given a map and information when you arrive which lists the times when facilities are open. There are lots of events at each resort and these will vary week to week. You’ll be given some information on them when you arrive, there’s further information on noticeboards situated around the resort and you can also ask at Reception.
