Your 8 day journey starts in the colourful streets of Marrakech, where you’ll experience the sites and sounds of the busy souks. A four-day trek in the Atlas Mountains then awaits, including a trip ...
to several traditional Berber villages. A real holiday of discovery! Day 1 – Arrive into Marrakech airport and transferred to hotel. Day 2 – A morning’s guided tour of the centre of Marrakech which dates back to the 11th century, the tour includes the sprawling souk – don’t forget to barter! In the afternoon take the local heritage sites and maybe even consider a traditional Moroccan bath called a hammam. Day 3 – A day trekking in the impressive snow covered Atlas mountains and the nights will be spent in typical village houses called a gite d’étape. Day 4 – Continue trekking the high Atlas Mountains or visit the clusters of small Berber villages and farms in the fertile valleys, following the varying treks and paths. Day 5 / 6 You will continue trekking until you reach the village of Aremd (1880m) where you will experience the “clean air” of the this mountain region and lush pastures some of the best grazing land in Morocco and learn more about Berber life and its history. Day 7 – You say goodbye to you mountain life and return to the bustle and heat of Marrakech. Day 8 – Trip ends with a transfer to Marrakech airport for your return flight home.
