Experience the lively bazaars in Marrakech, before setting off on an adventure deep into the Atlas Mountains. There you will visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, as well as a traditional village where ... palm oil is made. Then dine in an old pirates’ hideout on the coast at Essaouira. Day 1 – Fly to Marrakech. Snake charmers, magic potions, hidden palaces: Marrakech brings the most outlandish travellers' tales to life you’ll be succumbed by its charms. Day 2 – Today you will be taking a long drive to Ifergane crossing the Atlas Mountains, the journey does not feel too long as you will be totally bewitched by the dramatic Atlas Mountains which separate the Mediterranean from the Sahara Desert. Day 3 – Crossing the stunning Atlas Mountains you rest in the peaceful Berber village of Ifergane, from here you explore the area on foot or relax in a tranquil guesthouse in the middle of an orange oasis. Day 4 – Moroccan leatherwear is famous and you have the opportunity to visit a tannery in Taroudant. Moving on to the coast, you spend time at the beautiful beaches of Aourir. A traditional Amazigh village where locals still come down from the surrounding mountains to visit the weekly souk and a perfect spot for swimming and water sports. Day 5 –Travelling northwards to the attractive city of Essaouira you stop off en route at Sidi Kaouki for a camel ride along the sand followed by a delicious beach picnic. Day 6 – The day is yours to explore the old pirates' nest of Essaouira a fantastic place to haggle for souvenirs. You can spend your day watching the fishermen, go for walks around the old fort and enjoy the delicious seafood. Day 7 – Once you have arrived in Marrakech an adventure awaits on every corner from the Medina (old city), with its artisans' workshops, saints' shrines and pedestrian street stalls ladling up steaming bowls of snails and sheep's head soup. Visit the stately Koutoubia minaret, a reminder of the importance of Islam to the lives of the city's residents. Day 8 – Trip ends you will be transferred to Marrakech airport for your return flight to the UK.
