Costa Blanca is possibly Britain’s most famous family holiday destination. It is the 200-mile stretch of Mediterranean coastline that stretches from Denia in the North and includes the main tourist towns of Benidorm and Alicante. The original popularity of Costa Blanca was due to the many sandy beaches with interesting little towns and villages. They are still here, but now connected to an enormous tourist infrastructure, which includes a variety of Activity and Nature Parks, along with many English owned shops, and restaurants to make you and the children feel at home! If you want an inexpensive family holiday abroad, with not a cloud in sight and with lots of activities for the kids, then you will definitely find it here. We have a full range of holidays on offer from apartments at the edge of town, apartments in the thick of things, hotels with swimming pools and gyms, hotels next to a large sandy beach, a hotel in a small quiet cove, private villas in the hills, self catering, full board.... whatever fits your family. Check out our great selection of Child Friendly holidays on the Costa Blanca below or read on for some tips on attractions and days out.
Top Tips for that extra special family holiday on the Costa Blanca:
- Visit the giraffes, crocs and other animals at the Rio Safari Zoo, and then take the kids to the slides in the swimming pool to cool off.
- Take a trip to one of the little towns with a difference like Villajoyosa just south of Benidorm, famous for its old town and its chocolate, or Elche, the palm tree capital of the world!
- Benidorm has a number of theme parks and Activity centres perfect for a day away from the beach. Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqua Natura Park are amongst the biggest and best.
- As you are on the coast, check out the many opportunities for windsurfing, kite surfing, water skiing, paragliding, scuba diving, sailing and other activities to keep the water enthusiasts of the family occupied.
- Sometimes with all those signs in English you might forget you are actually in Spain so maybe introduce the kids to a little of the Spanish language with the odd Spanish phrase. It is amazing how much they will remember.
