Family Holidays and Breaks in Dorset

Dorset makes for a great destination for a family holiday with its combination of beautiful beaches, its famous World Heritage Site Jurassic coastline (a must for any dinosaur fans in your family) and its numerous attractive small towns and villages offering plenty for all the family to see and do. Anyone familiar with the writings of Thomas Hardy will certainly find themselves at home in Dorset which the famous writer used as inspiration for many of his novels and even renamed as South Wessex, and you can visit many of the places he described in his stories, bringing them to life. One of the most picturesque places to stay is Haven’s Littlesea Holiday Park an award-winning caravan park which is situated on the cliffs above Chesil Beach offering wonderful views of this area of real natural beauty. With an array of family entertainment on offer as well, whether you’re playing on their new child-friendly golf course, on their sports courts and child play areas or decide to take a scenic wander and go fossil hunting along the ancient coastline there’s something for all the family's members to enjoy in Dorset.
