Family holidays and breaks in Lancashire

Lancashire is a fantastic destination for families planning a holiday break together with its abundance of great, family friendly places to stay, many of which are set in some of the most scenic landscapes in the country. Near Wigan you’ll find Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel and Spa a perfect example of the best that Lancashire has to offer families. A stunning converted Victorian country house set in some wonderful grounds with picturesque lakes this is a beautiful place to stay where the parents can relax in the opulent health and beauty club and the kids will be entertained by the numerous leisure activities right on the hotel’s doorstep. One of the best places to visit in any stay in Lancashire is undoubtedly Blackpool and for a chance to savour what the famous old seaside resort has to offer families it’s certainly worth staying at the nearby Haven Cala Gran Holiday Park. If you’re looking for a family friendly self-catering holiday then there aren’t many that will offer as much as Cala Gran does. With a bounty of on-site entertainment and excellent facilities it’ll be a task dragging the kids to Blackpool’s own family fun!
