With a beach nearby, a great pool and entertainment in the hotel, and a town within walking distance it certainly makes it a great choice if you’re on holiday with kids in tow. There’s a newly decked out al-fresco buffet restaurant serving up international specialities, and for 2009 there are plans to add some relaxation facilities including a hydromassage pool, whirlpool bath, and Jacuzzi. ACCOMMODATION – Most of the rooms are on a split level with a sea-view. There are a number of different rooms types to suit families of all sizes from a double room with pull-out sofa bed, to two twin rooms with pull-out sofa, or a family suite that can sleep up to six. FOR KIDS – Hotel Orquidea is part of the Thomson Family Club Xtra group of resorts, and that means one thing. Top of the range facilities for kids! There’s a children’s club (ages 3-12 open 6 days a week), a crèche (0-3 years), the ‘Grid’ club for teenagers, a drop-in activity Den, evening kid’s parties allowing you some quality time alone, outdoor playgrounds, indoor play areas, mothercare play equipment and baby packs, and a kid’s buffet. Special extras include a Reebok football academy, dance and theatre school, circus skills entertainer, and entertainment from Thomson the dog.
