One of our favourites is the Bentley Brook Inn a traditional country inn with some excellent family-sized rooms, a beautiful garden and kids’ playground. Based just outside the National Park and not too far from the theme park Alton Towers, this is a great base for exploring the local area. Alternatively the Days Hotel Derby is a much more modern affair and sat right next to the famous Derbyshire County Cricket Ground. With large, clean and airy rooms and friendly, efficient staff this hotel is an excellent choice for families.
