Description:
Crantock Bay Hotel is perfect for families as it has extensive facilities and direct access to a National Trust sandy beach. It has a spa offering a range of different treatments as well as an indoor pool with a toddler’s section. Kids will love the outdoor play area complete with a wooden fort, and within the hotel grounds there’s also swings a putting green and tennis courts. In the summer it organises entertainment for children including treasure hunts, competitions and mini discos in the evening. A very good children’s menu is on offer, and kids can either eat early or with their parents. The hotel has direct access to a safe sandy beach with rock pools (lifeguard patrolled). Rooms themselves are also very child friendly. All family rooms are equipped with fridges, and extra beds, cots and bunks can be accommodated.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough for a family stay on the coast. We stayed there last month and the kids absolutely loved it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there was heaps to do both in the resort and in the surrounding area. A real highlight was the beach just beside the hotel, you sometimes forget how nice the coast is so close to home! We will definitely be returning in the near future.

A bit of a hidden gem this one. Whilst the rooms are a little bland and the interior of the hotel perhaps rather dated, this is more than made up for by the extraordinary location, sea views from every room, direct access to a beautiful sandy beach (with lifeguards in season), games room and spa/pool attached to the hotel. The pool complex has a little toddler pool for the babies and I booked an early evening massage whilst reception looked out for my sleeping beauties via baby-listening. Whilst the hotel does have such things as baby-listening, high chairs and offer high tea with kids menu, this hotel is better suited to slightly older children than mine (4 & 3) as they can then make use of tennis courts, direct access to beach for surfing and other amenities. Not as cheap as some hotels but then also not as expensive as other family-friendly hotels in Cornwall such as Bedruthan Steps and Fowey Hotel. Doesn't have a creche facility like others. Check out their self catering cottage for greater privacy but access to all the facilities.
