Airds, Appin

At the Airds Hotel we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of activities suitable for children of varying ages. We are located approximately midway between Oban and Fort William and this makes it ideal for exploring the west coast of Scotland. Oban (20 miles south), besides being a pleasant holiday town, is the main port for ferries to most of the Western Isles including Mull, Islay, Jura and Colonsay (plus others). Meanwhile, Fort William (27 mile north), the'Outdoor Capital of the UK' is well known for mountain biiking and skiing as well as many other sports. Immediately surrounding the hotel there are numerous walks and bicycles can be hired to explore the immediate area including the stunning lochside bicycle trail running between Fort William and Oban. Horse riding can also be arranged as can boat hire and many other water borne activities like kayaking and we mustn't forget the exciting RIB speed boat trips around the loch which we can organise. The hotel does not have a swimming pool or leisure centre but prefers to promote the wonderful landscape on our doorstep and the many outdoor activities this landscape affords us. All this is brought to you with good food, a little luxury and some pampering at the days end. Hopefully this gives you a taster of the fun to be had on our doorstep for all the family.
