Dragons Bar overview
The Dragons Bar is an oriental style pub located on the lower floor of the Alton Towers Resort's Alton Towers Hotel, next to The Secret Garden Restaurant.
The bar serves a wide selection of wines ...
as well as draught and bottled beers, soft drinks and bottled branded juice, cocktails for adults and mocktails for children.
The bar also has light bar snacks, such as crisps and nuts available to purchase and provides a table service for all customers.
Entertainment is shown in the Dragons Bar area during the evening. The bar is by the large pirate ship centre piece which is the focal point of the Alton Towers Hotel lobby. This is where much of the hotels entertainment takes place.
The bar is open most days until late.
Nice for a quick pre-meal drink

My son and I drank at the Dragons Bar for half an hour or so before the Secret Garden Restaurant opened at 5.30pm. The bar is oriental in style, which the name suggests and is moody with lots of dark reds and blacks. It's not really a place I'd usually sit with my child but it was nice and definitely OK for a little stop-off. I did see lots of adults in with their children, it's just not something I really do. We had great fun selecting a cocktail off the children's menu; we picked a tidal wave which was basically meant to be a chocolate milkshake with cream and sprinkles however the bar attendant was new so we ended up with a chocolate milkshake. It was tasty enough and my son was too young to realise really. I believe there is entertainment on near the bar area some nights as there was a pirate ship feature which is a stage. Toilets are nearby, but not in the actual bar area - it really isn't far though and changing facilities are also available nearby.
