We’re on the lookout for pubs which are particularly good at catering for families with friendly staff, good facilities, big gardens or play areas and a varied menu. One of our top picks is The Green Dragon Inn and is located in the centre of the pretty, beautifully named Cotswold hamlet of Cockleford. The pub dates from the 17th century and has a wooden roofed lych gate leading into its front courtyard. This has a small patio area with a door into cosy and informal interior bars. If you’re hungry then their menu of traditional English classics like sausage and mash or a variety of tasty pies is sure to go down well with the whole family.
