Family Pubs in Northumberland

Northumberland is a county with an abundance of great family, pubs and inns that are ideal for relaxing in with the kids, whether you’re after a tasty real ale, a fine wine or somewhere to grab a bite to eat. And one of the best ones we came across in Northumberland was The Boatside Inn in Hexham. The Boatside is a warm friendly country pub and makes an ideal place for a family stop-over whether just for a drink, meal or a week’s stay in one of their rented cottages. Most of the many menu items are home prepared from fresh local ingredients and they have a special children’s menu which always features a smaller version of pasta of the day and their own special mince and dumplings.
