Salt at The George overview
Salt @ the George is in a great location with stunning view over Swansea bay. Found in the pretty little village of Mumbles, this pub/restaurant is ideal for families and friends. It is only a ten ...
minute drive from the town centre so a good place to head to after a busy day on your feet. There are lots of mouth-watering dishes on the menu and the children’s menu is very reasonably priced, every kids dish is £3.95 and £1.95 for a dessert, bargain! Salt at The George can also be used for children’s parties and other events with full catering provided. Many people visit this village in August to witness the Mumbles Raft Race. This is a fund raising event with crews racing to get over the finish line in full costume. The village also attracts many visitors wanting to see the amazing Oystermouth Castle situated on a very high ridge with views over the village. Salt @ The George is a warm, friendly pub that welcomes families with open arms.
Pub Grub on the Mumbles

Stopped at 'Salt', which is located in the picturesque Mumbles area of Swansea, en-route to Cork (via the Cork-Swansea ferry). This is fantastic, family friendly pub, run by the Brains brewery. Food was delicious and reasonable priced; we opted for the fish, chips & minted peas. The cod was beautifully cooked in a light beer batter and tasted like it had been freashly caught that day. The kids opted for handmade fish fingers and chips with peas, and was equally good. Service was brilliant, with the staff provding a warm and friendly welcome. When we boarded our ferry for bound for Ireland later on in the day, I was glad that we opted to eat before-hand at Salt (judging by the quality of the food served in the ship's restaurants!) Apparently they have branches in Cardiff and Aberystwyth and I bet they are just as good.
