If your family, like mine, enjoy their food, expect good service and stylish dining where children are welcomed then you’ve probably already heard of Akbars. We’ve been frequenting the Manchester franchise since it opened and have had numerous family celebrations here during the weekends. In fact I can remember my eldest child sleeping through his first curry here in his car seat. Our favourite time to dine at the Castlefield restaurant is on a late Sunday afternoon, when it’s open at 4.30ish and starts to fill-up very soon. Akbars doesn’t have a children’s menu. There are chips, various rices and breads including the memorising family naan bread that is so large they have to hang it at your table. Akbars many benefits are the staff who are never troubled by noise levels, wandering children or mess at the table or around your party. We also been to their restaurant in Bradford, and that too was great food and service. High chairs are available here and there are also baby changing facilities. Every time we eat here we realise that we’re not the only ones acknowledging a birthday, new job or exam results. There are also loads of other large and small family gatherings that you never feel like you can’t sing a chorus of Happy Birthday or pop a balloon. A great place to go for a celebration and curry.
