The Oak on the Green overview
The Oak on The Green is a highly recommended pub and restaurant on the attractive Bearsted Green. There is an extensive menu offering a wide range of cuisine from Tapas to Sunday lunch and their ...
Sunday Roast is an absolute must. There is a great selection on the Kiddy Winks children’s menu from burgers and fish fingers to curry and fajitas! I’m sure there will be some takers for the Warm Chocolate’ Fudge Cake for pudding! There are changing facilities and high chairs and friendly staff to help out with the kids. Although the general theme of the restaurant is to stay a while and not rush, the staff are happy to speed up if your little ones don’t take to sitting around too long! Just let them know. The dinning room is a very relaxed beautiful room with exposed oak beams and wooden floors. The Oak on the Green is a popular restaurant so it is advisable to book and parking can be limited too.

This is a great restaurant to take all generations of the family. It is found in the lovely little village of Bearsted (near Maidstone). It has a really nice country feel with dimmed lighting, candles and lots of oak beams. There is always lots of laughter and celebrations going on so you don’t feel the need to keep the children quiet. The staff do ask that children stay seated as much as possible as there is a lot of hot food being carried around. There are always plenty of high chairs and some colouring-in books at the ready when the little ones get itchy feet! There is a good variety on the children’s menu and some yummy desserts. The food is very reasonably priced especially the children’s menu. Highly recommended!
