Cafe Rouge overview

Cafe Rouge Chislehurst is part of the famous chain of French Restaurants and is situated in the centre of the High Street in an old converted Victorian Post Office. This restaurant makes a delightful ... and unique venue for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even just for a cafe au lait. There is alfresco dinning Parisian style on the pavement where you can just sit and watch the world go by and admire the lovely view of one of Chilsehurst’s beautiful duck ponds. Café Rouge is a very child friendly restaurant with high chairs, booster seats as well as children’s activities such as colouring books and activity sheets that even teach the little ones a few French phrases! Additionally there is a extensive children’s menu offering childhood favourites such as chicken, sausages, fishcakes, pizza, pasta and of course French fries! There is a tempting dessert menu and a wide selection of fruit juices to choose from. Cafe Rouge is a lovely restaurant for a family meal.

"We have been here before and found it to be a good restaurant to go with children. We normally go to the pond opposite to feed the ducks first. The high street alone is a lovely place to visit. The restaurant has plenty of high chairs and booster seats and the children are given a colouring book and pens to keep them amused which we thought was a really nice touch. There is a good children’s menu with ice-cream for dessert and when we went there were lots of other children. The atmosphere was very relaxed. My only advise would be, don't order your steak well done as by the time it arrived the children were starting to get bored!!! "
