If you like traditional fare, especially carverys then you probably can’t go far wrong with Becks. We dined here for Father’s Day as we were in the area and were told that this restaurant would be a good place to celebrate the occasion. It’s a large diner and although it was busy we had no problem getting a table at teatime. Quickly shown to our table, everyone except myself choose to go with a carvery. As a vegetarian I choose a non-meat pie. The portions for the children and my husband were plentiful although not that tasty yet filling. What was a disappointment is that I had to wait quite a while for my tea to arrive. When my food came you could tell it had been heated-up in a microwave and I had to spend another 10 minutes waiting for my food to cool down. Service was fine and everyone we saw dining at Becks seemed to be enjoying it. Children are made to feel welcomed, the dining room and toilets are clean, and it wasn’t too expensive a meal.
