Blooms Garden Centre overview

The modern restaurant located in Blooms Garden Centre is great for families of all ages. There’s a large seating area too, so you shouldn’t have a problem getting a table, even during busy times. ... An extensive children’s menu includes fish & chips, sausage & mash, pasta, jacket potatoes and sandwiches. Highchairs are provided for the younger ones as well as a ride-on toy just outside the cafe. For the parents WiFi is available and the toilets have baby change facilities. A short walk through the garden centre takes you to Studley Grange Craft Village. This is well worth a visit and includes Butterfly World, Pop In and Paint, the Sand Workshop and Bonkers soft play area. Though you have to pay for these activities it means you can turn a trip to the garden centre in to a whole day out!

Great food

We popped in for a sandwich and a drink after visiting Bonkers soft play area in the craft village. Though there is a small café inside the play area we prefer this one as it’s much more spacious and serves proper lunches. The food was very good, the kids had the ‘all day picnic’ where they select 5 items including a sandwich, piece of fruit, drink and dessert (jelly, fromage frais or gingerbread). It was great to have a good selection of sandwich fillings including marmite and jam! Toilets were handy, right next to the restaurant so we didn’t need to search the garden centre to find them.

Blooms

We visited Blooms with my children and my parents. It was a Saturday afternoon and the car park looked full but fortunately there was plenty of space in the restaurant. We were stopping in for tea and cakes and were a bit disappointed by the limited selection of cakes. Having said that, what was there was lovely and very good quality. The kids meals are great here but for snacks there isn’t much for the children. In the end my son chose an ice cream (they serve local ice cream in cones) which he thoroughly enjoyed. A nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
