After receiving over 300 responses we put our maths hat on and got our calculator out to categorise the answers (do you think we deserve a gold star?). Judging by the top answer it's goodbye to chicken nuggets...

- "The perfect child-friendly restaurant has waterproof menus, comfy seats that don't topple over, bright lighting (but not harsh -no good for mum's headache), quick service, plenty of napkins and preferably wet wipes, lots of space to leave buggies, little amusements on the table such as crayons, clean toilets, lots of yummy but healthy things on the menu and most importantly smiling staff who don't bat an eye if little Oliver spills his apple juice on the floor yet again!"
- "A Child Friendly restaurant you have to be able to get a pushchair in and round the tables, and if you're really lucky, out again!"
- "In a child friendly restaurant, I look for staff who understand children, and actually like them! Things to keep the kids amused when they are waiting, like colouring, puzzles etc Healthy food that is tasty enough for adults and children to enjoy An atmosphere that makes the adults think they have had a good time too"
- "I look for staff who go out of their way to talk to the children and make them feel special while serving the food."
- "Child friendly restaurants should definitely have crayons and paper on each table - it keeps the kids quiet and amused!"
- "A child friendly restaurant must be flexible when it comes to changing small things on dishes such as adding toppings or removing sauces."
