Lego Chima is the latest Lego craze to take over our house and The Brick Castle has visited the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester to watch the Lego Chima 4D film. All you have to do after you’ve taken the children to see it is to manage the pester power for new Lego sets…
A good old historical ruin is an educational day out for the family, children often love ruins because they allow their imaginations to run wild. PODcast has been vsiting the ruins of Waverley Abbey in Surrey – they’re over 900 years old.
But Waverley Abbey is a youngster when compared to Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire where crewcutandnewt has visited recently. Her blog post has lots of top tips for visiting and we love the pictures of the mosaic floor.
STEAM in Swindon is one of our favourite places and Over 40 and a Mum to One has been. This is the ideal place for a cold, rainy day as everything is undercover. And undertrain – you can walk underneath a train here. Yes, really.
We’ve spotted Mummy from the Heart has been to London. She took the family to the London Aquarium and also tested out The Cavendish Hotel for its childfriendliness. Lots of hotels are reaching out to the family market these days, we like it!
Where do you take a baby in London? Well eeh bah mum has come up with her Top Ten Days Out in London for Crawling Babies, by her own admission it’s a list of places in London with clean floors. It’s a great read and probably our favourite family travel post of the week.
Mummy Central is trying to convince herself that camping is a good idea and has come up with her own top tips. Do you have any to add?
The weather may be bad, but you can see orchids in the amazing glasshouse at RHS Wiseley. The Muminator has been and we love the photos of the orchids in her post. You can see the orchids at Wiseley until 14th April.
Center Parcs: what do we think? Heather at Young & Younger has been to stay there with her family but hasn’t made her mind up. She loved the accommodation but sadly had the least satisfying bath ever.
And guess where Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy is going on holiday? Go on, see if you can guess…
